Three corporations will repay New Jersey $15 million for the cleanup of several contaminated sites in Hudson County under a proposed settlement agreement announced by state officials today.
Honeywell International Inc., Occidental Chemical Corp. and PPG Industries Inc. also agreed to accept responsibility for 42 other sites laced with hexavalent chromium, a cancer-causing chemical.
